Marshall schools open completed secure entrances for public viewing
The school board invited residents to see safety upgrades completed at all four district buildings using referendum funding.
Marshall Public Schools completed its Safe and Secure Entrance projects at all four school buildings for the 2026-27 school year, according to a message from school board president Debbie Frigo.
The improvements were funded through a capital referendum supported by district voters. Frigo describes the new entrances as an additional layer of protection for students and employees, while acknowledging that no single security measure can remove every risk.
The district invited families and community members to visit the buildings Sept. 21, 2026, from 5 to 5:45 p.m. District administrators, Board of Education members and representatives of Vogel Bros. Building Company were expected to answer questions.
The invitation also described a $25 local-business gift card drawing at each building for attendees age 18 or older. Frigo thanked the community for supporting the improvements.
