After two rainy days, Marshall High School held its homecoming parade Oct. 2 in sunny weather and temperatures near 64 degrees.

Members of the homecoming court rode in convertibles and pickup trucks. Cheerleaders and student athletes took part, including groups representing football, cross country and volleyball.

The procession traveled along Elm, North Beebe, Main, Howard, Herman and William streets before returning to the school area. This year's float theme was Hollywood, with the grade levels choosing comedy, mystery and crime, action, and horror.

Marshall's football team lost its homecoming game to Horicon/Hustisford that evening, 8-6. The school dance was scheduled for Oct. 3, from 8 to 11 p.m. in the high school commons.
